Flu Vaccinations

Are you eligible for a flu vaccine? If so you can now book your flu vaccination appointment.

 

You are eligible to receive a free flu jab if you:

  • Are 65 years of age or over
  • Are pregnant
  • Have certain medical conditions
  • Are living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility
  • Receive a carer's allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill

 OVER 65’s clinics start 19th September.

 UNDER 65 and at risk clinics start 14th October.

·        Have plenty of rest

·        Drink enough fluids to avoid feeling thirsty

·        Ask your local pharmacist to recommend medicines to help your symptoms or pain (or both)

·        Fever is a sign the body is fighting the infection and usually gets better by itself in most cases. You can use paracetamol if you or your child are uncomfortable as a result of a fever

·        Use a tissue and wash your hands well to help prevent spread of your infection to your family, friends and others that you meet

Summary Care Records

Since 1 April 2015 patients can view and download a summary of their medical records. This will include Medications, Allergies and adverse conditions. You will need to sign up to our online access facility. Details can be obtained from reception.

Community Car Scheme

Do you have a mobility problem and need help getting around?

Register to use the Community Car Service to help!

The minimum cost is £2.50 (for 3 miles) and then 50p for every extra mile.

Patient Access

Patient Access has been in use in the surgery for some years now and many of our patients are happily using it to book appointments and order repeat prescriptions over the internet.

In line with government guidelines Great Sutton Medical Centre have enabled patients to view online, export and print detailed coded information held in their own records as part of Patient Access.

Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday.

To apply for access to your medical records, please request a questionnaire from reception next time you are at the practice.

Phlebotomy Walk In

Our 'walk in' Phlebotomy service is now available from 8.30am until 12 noon Monday - Friday.


Cancelling Your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone to cancel your appointment.


Your Contact Details

Please could you let us know your phone/mobile number.  It is very important that we have this information in order for us to contact you if necessary.  Some of  the information we have is out of date.  We now have the facility to send SMS messages to you to remind you about appointments, and other important practice information.


Repeat Prescriptions

You can now order your repeat prescriptions on line.  Simply go to the prescriptions page and enter your information.  Please remember to allow 48 hours for your prescription to be be prepared.  If you wish to collect your prescription from a chemist please ask the chemist to pick your prescription up from the surgery for you. The PRACTICE DOES NOT INFORM THE CHEMIST.
