Flu and COVID Vaccination Clinics

Flu and COVID vaccinations will launch on Thursday 3rd October 2024 in Ellesmere Port town centre.

The clinics will be held in two locations:

*Weekdays: Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port

*Saturdays: Old Job Centre, Port Arcades

Travel Health

Do you need vaccinations?

Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

We offer a full travel advice and immunisation service. If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.

Additional Services

In addition to these specialist services we can also offer advice and assistance on the full range of medical issues such as menopause, male and female health checks, male impotence, homeopathy and childhood ailments. 

There are Health Visitors, Midwives, District Nurses and many other disciplines working alongside the practice team to deliver a complete medical service.

We can refer patients for more specialised treatments at any of the major hospitals and also offer referrals to private medical care for those willing to pay for that service or who have appropriate insurance cover.

Minor Surgery

Your practice can perform a range of minor surgical procedures and wart/verruca removal by appointment.

Family Planning and Sexual Health Services

A strictly confidential service is provided on all methods of contraception including coils, injections and emergency contraception.  We are trained to recognise and deal with Chlamydia and other common conditions which, if untreated, can cause serious consequences and permanent damage.

Maternity Services

In conjunction with the local midwifery team, the doctors at Great Sutton are fully involved with antenatal and postnatal care, with regular clinics on the premises. Cervical Smear Tests

Women between 25 and 64 years should have a cervical smear test every 3 to 5 years.  This simple procedure is offered within the Surgery by our specially trained clinicians and patients are automatically invited to attend when tests fall due.

Adult Immunisations

We urge everyone to attend for Tetanus boosters every 10 years and for Rubella immunisation to be maintained by our female patients of child-bearing age.
